We have thought about having a raised text surface of at least the date that allows you to make a rubbing of the day you visited. How to give people ownership of that moment is something that we discuss a lot, and welcome ideas on.

My thought is that the Clock (LN) could maybe have a writing mechanism to give the most exact time possible to every person that visits it. ... I had this thought before the last time I was in Seattle. They have machines there (which are in all the big cities) that you put a penny into and turn the crank and out pops a specially "Seattle" engraved penny. Perhaps the Clock could do something similar. ... as to what materials, who knows? ... Stone was actually my first thought - as it's in such abundance.
